Shipping Options and Costs
1. Free STD Freight (Standard Shipping)
- Service: Australia Post – Safe Drop or Signature on Delivery, depending on order value.
- Cost: Free
- Processing Time: Generally within 1–3 business days.
- Shipping Duration: Generally within 3–8 business days.
- Condition: Orders totalling $200.00 and over.
Description: Enjoy free standard shipping on orders totalling $200.00 and over. Your items will be delivered within the estimated standard shipping timeframe for your region.
2. STD Post (Standard Post)
- Service: Australia Post – Safe Drop or Signature on Delivery, depending on order value.
- Cost: $10
- Processing Time: Generally within 1–3 business days.
- Shipping Duration: Generally within 3–8 business days.
- Condition: Orders under $200.00.
Description: Standard shipping is available for a flat fee of $10 on orders under $200. This is a cost-effective shipping method that provides reliable delivery within the standard delivery timeframe.
Please Note: Express shipping is not currently available. All orders are dispatched via Australia Post Standard Shipping.
Australia Post – Safe Drop & Signature on Delivery
To provide customers with convenient delivery options and minimise unnecessary collection delays, Spencer Knives Australia uses the following standard shipping arrangements for orders dispatched via Australia Post.
Orders Under $500 – Safe Drop Enabled
All orders valued under $500 are shipped with Safe Drop enabled by default.
Safe Drop allows eligible parcels to be left in a suitable safe location at the delivery address when nobody is available to receive them, subject to Australia Post’s delivery conditions and any applicable recipient authorisation requirements.
If you do not wish to have Safe Drop enabled and would prefer a signature upon delivery, please advise us in the order notes at checkout.
Where a signature is required, Australia Post may also allow the recipient to authorise Safe Drop through their MyPost account or delivery notifications.
Australia Post determines whether a delivery location is suitable for Safe Drop. If the parcel cannot be safely left, or the required authorisation has not been provided, it may be taken to a local Post Office for collection.
Orders $500 and Over – Signature Required
All orders valued at $500 or more are dispatched with Signature on Delivery required and Safe Drop disabled.
If nobody is available to sign for the parcel, Australia Post will generally take it to a local Post Office for collection.
Safe Drop – Missing, Lost or Stolen Parcels
By placing an order with Spencer Knives Australia, customers acknowledge that Safe Drop is enabled as our standard shipping arrangement for eligible Australia Post orders under $500, unless alternative delivery instructions have been provided and accepted before dispatch.
Where a parcel is delivered using Safe Drop, Australia Post may record tracking information, delivery scans and photographic evidence of the delivery location.
Customers are encouraged to provide a secure delivery address and monitor their tracking notifications.
If a parcel is marked as delivered but cannot be located, please contact Spencer Knives Australia as soon as possible so we can investigate the delivery with Australia Post.
Missing parcel claims will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, considering available tracking information, proof of delivery, photographic evidence, delivery instructions and the circumstances of the delivery.
Where available evidence confirms that a parcel was correctly delivered to the nominated address in accordance with the applicable delivery arrangements, this will be considered when assessing the claim.
Return to Sender
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, failure to collect the parcel, refusal of delivery, or unsuccessful delivery attempts where no redirection is arranged, the order may be deemed Returned to Sender.
Where a return results from circumstances attributable to the customer:
- The customer will be responsible for applicable return-to-sender charges of $15.
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable where the original shipping service has been performed.
- Re-delivery will require payment of additional shipping charges (actual freight charge) before the order is dispatched again.
- Alternatively, if the customer chooses not to have the order re-shipped, a store credit can be offered less applicable actual original shipping and return-to-sender costs, once the goods have been received back and inspected.
We recommend monitoring Australia Post tracking notifications to ensure parcels are collected promptly if delivery cannot be completed.
All orders are shipped throughout Australia via Australia Post, with delivery arrangements determined by the order value and standard shipping service.
